Xavier and Kristen’s La Baronia wedding in Barcelona, Spain was a day that felt so special from beginning to end. Their story actually began years earlier on a beach in New Jersey, and it eventually led them all the way to Spain to celebrate with the people closest to them.

La Baronia was the perfect setting for their day. This beautiful historic venue just outside the city created such a dreamy and unique atmosphere for their day. With planning by Costa & Mason Event Planners, every part of the day came together so beautifully. It was the kind of Barcelona Spain wedding that felt intimate and unforgettable, with beautiful details and so much genuine joy shared between family and friends.

The Details & Getting Ready

The morning of Xavier and Kristen’s La Baronia wedding started off slow and intentional inside the historic villa in Barcelona. Kristen spent the morning getting ready with her bridesmaids with the softest lighting and beautiful details that felt perfect for the setting. Her Claire Pettibone gown was one of the most special parts of the day. It had delicate floral embroidery and flowy fabric that felt timeless and romantic. To top it all off, she paired it with a gorgeous headpiece that added such an elegant touch.

Meanwhile, Xavier got ready with his groomsmen nearby. His white suit gave the perfect contrast against the warm tones of the venue and added a classic look to the day. From the details to the quiet moments before the ceremony, the start of this Barcelona Spain wedding day felt calm yet still full of excitement for everything still to come!

A First Look & Portraits on The Panoramic Terrace at La Baronia in Barcelona

Xavier and Kristen shared their first look on the panoramic terrace of La Baronia wedding venue, and it could not have been a more romantic setting. It was such a sweet moment. With the beautiful stone arches and open views behind them, Xavier turned around to see Kristen for the first time. The emotion on both of their faces said everything. It was the perfect way for them to pause, take it all in, and spend a few moments together before the rest of the day unfolded.

The terrace is surrounded by nature and overlooks the hills just outside Barcelona. It offers incredible views of the Vallès region. On clear days, you can even catch a glimpse of the Mediterranean in the distance! After their first look, we of course had to take a few portraits around the terrace because the views were absolutely stunning. Truly one of my favorite locations at this Barcelona Spain wedding venue.

Outdoor Bridal Party Portraits

Xavier and Kristen’s wedding party photos were some of my favorites from their La Baronia wedding. Their friends brought so much energy and personality to this part of the day.

The bridesmaids wore beautiful floral dresses in different colors and patterns. The mix of tones and flowy fabrics added so much color to the portraits and fit perfectly with the dreamy, ethereal style of this Barcelona Spain wedding. Everything felt so romantic, especially against the stone architecture and natural views surrounding La Baronia.

Dreamy La Baronia Wedding Ceremony at the Cabañon

Xavier and Kristen’s ceremony took place at the Cabañon. Aside from the terrace, it’s of the most romantic spaces at the La Baronia wedding venue. It’s surrounded by towering cypress trees and historic stone architecture. The design of the house created a beautiful backdrop while guests gathered beneath the trees for the ceremony.

They had petals lining the aisle, and the stunning florals by Atmosfera Barcelona added the perfect touch of color. After the ceremony, Xavier and Kristen walked back down the aisle as newlyweds while their guests celebrated around them. They shared a quiet moment together with glasses of champagne before we slipped away for a few golden hour portraits and more photos on the beautiful panoramic terrace overlooking the hills outside Barcelona!

La Baronia Wedding Reception in The Indoor Lounge

Xavier and Kristen’s reception took place inside one of the historic indoor lounges at La Baronia wedding venue. The space was elegant and ethereal with warm wood paneling, antique artwork, and beautiful chandeliers overhead. The decor added even more of a romantic touch to the room with candlelight and lush florals. It was the perfect reception setup for their Barcelona Spain wedding.

The night started off with an unforgettable entrance as Xavier and Kristen walked in through lighting and a low fog effect that filled the room. It made for such a fun and cinematic way to start the reception. Guests gathered around the candlelit tables while beautiful toasts were shared and the party officially began.

Later in the evening, Kristen surprised everyone with a second outfit. She changed into a stunning gold dress. The energy in the room continued to build as live Spanish dancers and a guitarist performed for guests. It added such a fun element to the night and made the reception feel even more memorable!
