Kim and Chris’s wedding at The Ryland Inn in White House Station, NJ was truly a perfect day. Their March wedding had a timeless, editorial feeling, but what made it so special was how relaxed and present they were through every part of it. From getting ready on site and sharing meaningful first looks, to even taking a moment for tea before the ceremony, every part of the day felt personal to them.

The Ryland Inn gave them the most beautiful setting for it all. They had outdoor portraits around the estate, a ceremony on the grounds, and an elegant Grand Ballroom reception filled with heartfelt speeches, personal details, and live music!

The Details, Getting Ready, & First Looks at The Ryland Inn

Kim and Chris both got ready on site for their The Ryland Inn wedding, which made for a relaxed and easy morning. Kim got ready in The Ryland Inn Wedding Suite, with plenty of room to for her and her bridesmaids.

Chris got ready in the Groom’s Cottage, located in the Pelham House cottage on the estate. It was the perfect setting for him and his groomsmen to relax, play pool, and enjoy time together before the ceremony.

Kim wore a timeless off-the-shoulder Dany Tabet gown with sleeves and a full skirt, while Chris wore a classic black tuxedo. Before the ceremony, Kim shared first looks with her bridesmaids and her father, and Chris shared one with his mom. Then, Kim and Chris saw each other outside The Ryland Inn for their own first look.

Couple & Bridal Party Portraits

After their first look, Kim and Chris took portraits together around the grounds of The Ryland Inn. Their wedding had such a relaxed feeling. One of the sweetest moments was when they sat together for tea before the ceremony. It gave them a nice pause in the middle of the day and made room for beautiful, candid photos that felt personal to them.

The Ryland Inn has so many beautiful spaces for portraits, from the white estate exterior to the open countryside and manicured grounds. Their bridal party photos were taken mostly outdoors, with the groomsmen in classic black tuxedos and the bridesmaids in mismatched purple dresses. I loved the mix of soft color, formal attire, and the venue’s white architecture. Everything felt timeless yet true to the day and the couple.

A Rylan Inn Wedding Ceremony on The Grounds

Kim and Chris had their ceremony outdoors on the grounds, with the white exterior of The Ryland Inn as the backdrop. It was simple but so beautiful and fitting for the feel of their day. They held their ceremony at the perfect timing, with the golden lighting.

The aisle was lined with white chairs and calla lilies tied with ribbon. As Kim walked down the aisle with her father, you could feel how happy everyone was to be there. It truly was a joyful ceremony from start to finish. Kim and Chris were smiling through so much of it, and their guests were clearly excited to celebrate them during their The Ryland Inn wedding!

The Ryland Inn Wedding – Cocktail Hour & Reception in The Grand Ballroom

After cocktail hour, Kim and Chris celebrated with their guests inside the Grand Ballroom at The Ryland Inn. The space felt so warm with tall ceilings, chandeliers, a stone fireplace, and that timeless estate feel, and their decor made it even more beautiful. White florals, greenery, candlelight, and even personal notes for guests at each place setting which made the reception feel so personal.

Their The Ryland Inn wedding reception had so many sweet and meaningful moments! They had heartfelt speeches to emotional dances between Kim and Chris, Kim and her father, and Chris and his mom. They also had a live guest illustrator, Illustrated By Leigha, which was such a fun experience for their guests.

As the night went on, the dance floor was packed. Kim and Chris clearly knew how to celebrate with their people, especially with live saxophone music by Reel Productions bringing so much energy. It was the perfect ending to such a joyful wedding day, and such an honor to photograph as their New Jersey wedding photographer!
